Shadow Box Frames are thicker and have more presence on the wall with a gap between the image and the perspex front. Shadow Box Frames come in both White and Raw Tasmanian Oak.
The Simple Frame has the image, window matte and perspex all pushed up to the front of the frame (no gap like a Shadow Box Frame). Simple frames come in both White and Raw Tasmanian Oak.
Acrylic Wall Mounts are 6mm thick with an aluminum mounting system on the back. It looks like it is floating off the wall and the image look wet and colours really pop. Acrylic Blocks are 3cm thick and can stand on their own.
This is the most cost effective way to ship our artwork (rolled up in a tube). You can choose to have your artwork with a border of about 8cm or without one. We print on glossy fine art metallic photographic paper.
We ship all of our artworks to most places in the world. It is cheaper to send unframed artworks rolled up in a tube, but shipping framed artworks is possible, too. All our framed artworks have a perspex front instead of glass to ensure a break-free delivery. The shipping fee is calculated when you view your cart. All orders shipped out of Australia are sold minus the Australian Taxes (GST 10%). Please contact us if you have any questions about shipping.
All orders can be picked up in Bondi. There is no fancy gallery to come to just yet, as these are the humble beginnings of this website, but a pickup time can be arranged once you have been informed that your order is ready. You can always contact us if you have any questions about picking up your order.
With every book or piece of artwork you purchase you help to protect and care for whales and other wildlife in Australia. Jonas will donate a percentage of each purchase to ORRCA, Australia’s most successful whale rescue organisation. So every time you go through the Book Whales Of Sydney or look at one of our artworks, you can remind yourself that you have supported a good cause.
ORRCA (Organisation for the Rescue and Research of Cetaceans in Australia) is the most experienced and successful whale rescue organisation in Australia. ORRCA receives limited grants but otherwise relies on income from memberships, donations and workshops to keep the hotline and the organisation functioning. Read more about ORRCA
Whales Of Sydney is the portfolio of wildlife photographer Jonas Liebschner, author of the book Whales Of Sydney. All images on this website and in the book are a result of countless hours spent on a whale watching boat somewhere off the coast of Sydney, Australia.
